What is a doula?

We are birthing coaches and an extra pair of hands. We provide evidence based educational support leading up to the day of birth as well as physical and emotional support during labor and into the first few weeks of your baby’s life. When you think you cannot do it anymore, we can talk you through it. Having back labor? We have lots of amazing ideas to help ease intense sensations. We are the only professionals who are with you for the entire labor. In a hospital birth, a doula can interpret the medical jargon and make sure you are aware of all your options. We remind you that what you are doing is normal and healthy. We help keep you nourished and strong for the work that lies ahead.

How can Neisha help?

Neisha provides support in hospitals, birth centers and for home births. She has experience with VBAC, planned surgical births, supporting partners, twins, high risk births, unmedicated births, inductions, single parents, people with mood disorders, people identifying as LGBTQIA+ , and conception through IVF

She is also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and Spinning Babies®​ ​Aware Practitioner. She is dedicated to reviving the wisdom and intuition we’ve lost when it comes to childbirth and infant care. Her fervor lies in empowering families through education and ensuring they actively shape their care plans. Neisha excels in fostering constructive dialogue between providers and families, bridging gaps in the medical system to cultivate beautiful birth stories and improved outcomes.

Blending her diverse skills, Neisha’s job is to drive away fear as she tailors each experience to individual clients. As a licensed massage therapist, she utilizes touch and relaxation techniques while accompanying you through one of life's most vulnerable moments. Neisha is adept at providing comfort in pregnancy and ease in birth. She has the additional capabilities of active listening, assisting with feeding plans that respect your choices, understanding infant behaviors, counseling, confidence reinforcement, and providing referrals.

Fourth trimester visits (2):
First visit:
Debriefs the labor and birth experience. Breastfeeding support
